Manipulator PGR is The Right Choice. MAXIMIZE YIELD: Better nutrient use and more even main stem and tiller heads increases yield and creates more uniform flowering. FASTER HARVEST: Easier threshing means less wear and tear and faster combine speeds, less fuel and a more efficient harvest. LODGING RESISTANCE: Shorter, stronger plants with thicker stem walls all help improve standability. APPLICATION FLEXIBILITY: Slow-release technology allows for application from herbicide timing (1-tiller) up to early flag leaf.

Here are some useful tips on spray temperatures, times, and best practices to help you growers maximize their burn offs:
We still have some cool nights in the forecast it looks like so be sure to watch these as they can impact herbicide efficacy drastically. The chart below helps navigate these cold temperatures as we move through spring.
Its also nice to consider what weeds you have in your field at time of burn off to determine how long after a herbicide application you can get in to seed to ensure maximum efficacy (product dependent as well) .
In addition, water is your friend with all Nufarm’s burn down products. Our group 14 (pyraflufen), which is in all 4 products, is a contact active so keeping water levels high will help maximize this part of the herbicide. Recommendation is minimum of 10 gallons of water.
If you have specific questions on which products fit where and when feel free to reach out to me.
All these things will help enhance your burn off leading to a strong head start for your seeded crop and eventually lead to greater success with your in-crop application.
A: We recommend that you follow the best practices for spraying glyphosate in the early spring. Glyphosate and Nufarm’s pre-seed burndown products should be applied to actively growing weeds. Below are some general spray guidelines.
A: The first question to ask is what type of weeds are you dealing with? Then how much soil disturbance will there be during seeding?
